I am me.

I like names. I always have. I like them so much I change my own frequently and have pondered the names for my children since I was little. I like to explore the names of characters in stories. What's in a name? Plenty.

I am intelligent, strong willed, witty and perverse.

I adore books and reading, instruments and music (both recorded and live), animals and swimming in any water that isn't salty. Pools (even though man made and often filled with chemicals) are a haven to me when it's hot enough to be in them. I adore being in the water. I can be a water creature. I can be weightless and powerful. I can fly. Everything goes muffled, and it's cosy.

I only regret I never developed a tail and gills, so I still need to come up for air.

I am a witch. So to speak. I can't do spells anymore though. As you grow up, you stop believing in yourself and your magic, and you find you can't do it any longer. Now I feel like nothing more than a cheap magician with no tricks to show for it.

At the very core of me is a good girl, a free spirit and a kind heart. It's just that as a teenage girl you sometimes forget these things, or worse, cover them up. It is a self obsessed and absorbed, narcissistic stage of development.

But hopefully I'll be out of it someday.
